Welcome to *Publishing online with Ghost*. This site is yours for the next ninety minutes — and it's a real one. Real Ghost, real hosting in the EU, not a sandbox that wipes itself when you close the tab.

Here's what we're going to do with it:

- **Make it look like yours.** Your publication name, your description, one visual choice. That's enough to be recognisable.
- **Write a post and send it as a newsletter** — in one action, because in Ghost a post and an email are the same object.
- **Turn on a paid tier** and watch someone else in this room buy it with a test card. A real name appears as your first paying member.
- **Export the whole thing.** Not because we'll tell you there's no lock-in, but so you can see it for yourself.

What we're *not* doing today is taking real money. Stripe is running in test mode on our keys, so nothing you charge is real. Getting to actual payments needs your own Stripe account, your bank details and your ID — roughly ten minutes of work, whenever you're ready for it.

## Keeping this site

If you want to hold on to what you build here, tell us at the workshop, or write to **help@magicpages.co** any time in the two weeks afterwards.

The site stays live and free until **20 September**. After that it's **€13/mo**, or you take your export and go somewhere else. Both are genuinely fine, and both are printed on your credential card.

Either way, you can write to us afterwards. Even if you leave.
